David has considerable experience advising banks, funds, insurance companies and other financial institutions on a wide variety of derivatives and structured finance transactions, including synthetic securitizations and other risk transfer trades, funding platforms, total return swaps, hedging structures, bespoke credit and other fixed income products, repackaging (especially of illiquid loans), and other innovative structured transactions. He also has considerable experience working with governments, sovereigns and central banks on a range of derivatives documentation and regulatory projects.
Since the global financial crisis, a large part of David’s work has been focused on helping banks manage exposures to a range of underlying assets, many illiquid, either through portfolio disposals or synthetically.
