Chris leads our Corporate Trust and Agency practice in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

Chris advises corporate trustees and agents across the full spectrum of debt capital markets transactions (including project bonds, MTN programmes, standalone bond issuances, sukuk and securitisations) and banking transactions (including project finance, leveraged and acquisition financing, Islamic finance, syndicated lending and restructurings) including associated defaults, restructurings, amendment and consent processes and the exercise of discretions.

  • The Trustee on the establishment of Saudi Aramco's Global Medium Term Note Programme.
  • The Principal Paying Agent on the establishment of the State of Kuwait's USD10bn Global Medium Term Note Programme.

  • Deutsche Trustee Company Limited as Delegate on a sharia-compliant LPN transaction for Qatar Islamic Bank.
  • An international bank in its agency capacities on the scheme of arrangement relating to, and restructuring of, the E D & F Man group’s liabilities.
  • An independent agency services provider and an international bank in their respective agency capacities on the restructuring of Enermech’s liabilities.
  • The Delegate on the liquidation of Asya Katilim Bankasi AS and the subsequent default under the USD250m Fixed Rate Resettable Tier 2 Certificates issued by Asya Sukuk Company Limited.
