Chantel is a senior associate in the banking and finance team based in Johannesburg. She has experience in advising sponsors, borrowers and lenders in relation to a wide range of domestic and cross-border debt finance transactions and debt restructurings.

She specialises in developing markets acquisition finance, corporate loans, syndicated lending and project or asset finance. She advises lenders and borrowers on contractual and regulatory matters relating to financing, security, refinancing and restructuring in relation to various debt funding arrangements.

  • Advising indigent individuals in relation to administration of deceased estates.
  • Assisting International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Terrawatt Initiative (TWI) to develop standardised contract documentation and guides designed to streamline project development and finance processes for solar PV projects.
