Catherine is a partner in the banking and finance team and leads A&O’s trade and commodity finance practice in London. Catherine acts for a variety of clients across the full range of trade, commodities and supply chain products including trade receivables finance, structured commodity finance and restructurings in the commodities sector. She has advised UK and global industry bodies on legal and regulatory issues affecting the trade and commodity finance community speaks at international industry conferences and contributes to trade finance publications. Catherine was recently invited to speak at the J.P. Morgan Trade Forum on the impact of Brexit on trade and supply chain finance structures.
Catherine regularly advises on commodity finance participation arrangements. She is also heavily involved in the BAFT organisation and has spoken at their last two annual meetings and advised BAFT on regulatory matters affecting trade and supply chain finance. Catherine also acts for major market players on their supply chain programmes. She has helped a number of global banks develop innovative new products in this area, acts for global corporates in this field and is recognised in Legal 500 UK 2021 for her work in this field.
