Ash advises on a wide range of corporate transactions including private M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, reorganisations, corporate governance, and general corporate advisory work. Ash also leads our India M&A practice and frequently works with international investors investing into India as well as Indian corporates acquiring assets outside India. 

Based in the London office, Ash has specific expertise in complex cross-border M&A transactions and in the structuring of joint venture and equity arrangements.

  • EQT and EdgeConneX Inc. on EdgeConneX’s joint venture with Adani Enterprises to acquire, develop and operate data centres in India 
  • TripAdvisor on its acquisition of Bookatable from Michelin 
  • A consortium of 15 banks on the restructuring of Thomas Cook 
  • Thomson Reuters on its acquisition of the WM/Reuters foreign exchange benchmarks calculation business from State Street Corporation 
  • IHS on its equity financing to fund its acquisition of MTN's mobile towers business in Nigeria 
  • Worldpay as issuer's counsel on its IPO and admission to the premium listing on the London Stock Exchange with a valuation of GBP4.8bn 
  • Vale on the investment by Mitsui for a 15% stake in the Moatize coal mine and a 50% stake in the Nacala rail/port project, both in Mozambique 
  • Millicom on its acquisition of an 85% stake in Zanzibar Telecom from Etisalat 
  • JP Morgan Infrastructure Investments Fund on its acquisition of Beacon Rail Lux Holdings S.à.r.l. from Pamplona Capital Management
