Anthony is a banking and finance counsel based in our Johannesburg office. He specializes in South African financial regulatory work including exchange control as well as derivatives and securities lending. He mainly advises banks, investment managers and financial institutions. He assists his clients with written opinions, advising on financial regulation in the capital markets space, drafting exchange control applications to the South African Reserve Bank, advising on payment services, money remittance and e-money in South Africa and advising on and negotiating derivative and securities lending transactions and African cross-border regulatory advice.

Anthony has recently returned from an 18 month secondment to the London office where he spent 6 months in the regulatory practice and a year in the derivatives and structured finance practice. Anthony is in the process of completing his conversion exams to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales.
