With over 20 years experience, Angela specialises in stamp duty and tax issues across all Australian jurisdictions. She has extensive experience in property transactions, mergers and demergers, vendor and purchaser due diligence, landholder and landrich duty issues and planning, leasing and financing, and planning and structuring.
Other noteworthy experience includes advising:
- Equinix, a global data centre and colocation provider, on its $1.035 billion acquisition of Metronode, an Australian data centre operator.
- Eureka Funds Management and AXA Real Estate Investment Managers Singapore Private on the acquisition and lease back of the Australia Post Headquarters, Sydney from the Australian Postal Corporation.
- Norwest Projects & Investments on the shareholding in Wright Prospection.
- Macquarie Bank in relation to the acquisition of Telecommunications assets/networks from the Federal Government and, later, Macquarie Bank’s sale of those assets.
- Brookfield entities in relation to the acquisitions of interests in Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Ltd.
- Bass Hotels Group on certain acquisitions and group restructuring.
- Bank of Queensland on the establishment of its conditional pass-through covered bond programme.

Advising Lloyds Banking Group on the stamp duty implications of a disposal and restructuring of certain Australian subsidiaries and JV property interests.
Advising Lanco Infratech on the stamp duty implications of the acquisition of Griffin Coal and assisting Lanco in its dealings with the Western Australian Revenue in relation to the same.
Advising Merck and Schering Plough on the structuring and implementation of the worldwide post-takeover merger and reorganisation of Merck and Schering Plough entities.
Advising Suez/Degremont on the acquisition of interests in New South Wales, Victorian and South Australian water treatment and infrastructure assets.
