Andrea is a partner in the global Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice, based in our Los Angeles office. Andrea focuses her practice on project development and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on representing companies engaged in the development, construction and operation of solar power, wind power, energy storage and alternative energy projects. Andrea’s experience extends to all elements of alternative energy development and financing including merger and acquisition transactions, equity and debt financing, equipment purchase and sale agreements, and power purchase agreements.
Andrea is listed in the The Deal 2020 Top Women in Dealmaking, in the Los Angeles Business Journal as a Leaders in Law finalist (2020) as well in the A Word About Wind, Top 100 Legal Power List (2020). She received the POWERGEN International Excellence in Character Award (2019). Additionally Andrea is ranked in the Chambers USA, Projects: Power & Renewables: Transactional (2020-2023) and is recognized in The Legal 500 US, Energy, (2015), Project Finance: Advice to Sponsor (2019) and Energy: Renewable/Alternative Power (2020).

Advising a gas and oil company on the acquisition of a development pipeline of 2.2 GW of solar projects and 600 MW of battery storage assets in Texas.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners in connection with their purchase of a 440MW in-development solar energy project, known as the Fighting Jays project, from Plus Renewable Technologies and Avondale Solar.
Advising a renewable energy company on the acquisition of the full development portfolio of Coronal Energy, including Coronal’s development team of experienced solar and storage personnel.
Southern California Edison in negotiating with bidders in its system reliability procurement and the signing of a 100-megawatt battery-only energy storage project, one of seven utility-scale energy storage projects that SCE signed as it seeks to enhance California’s electric system reliability needs and integrate new renewable power.

Other noteworthy experience
Advising:
- A renewable energy company in the acquisition of a 300MW wind energy generation project located in Nebraska.
- Lincoln Clean Energy, a subsidiary of Ørsted and a leading developer of U.S. renewables, in which it acquired a 103 MW construction-ready wind project in Butte County, South Dakota from Pattern Energy Group.
- Southern California Edison in connection with the negotiation of storage capacity agreements. The selected resources are expected to go online before the summer of 2021. One of the contracts, a 100 MW energy storage project awarded to Strata, will become one of North America’s largest operational lithium-ion battery systems when it comes online in December 2020.
- EnSync Energy Systems, an industry-leading supplier of advanced energy management solutions, in connection with the sale of a portfolio of renewable-energy-power generation and storage projects to a subsidiary of AEP. The projects are located on commercial sites in Hawaii. Also advised EnSync in creating a suite of form documents to streamline future transactions.
- Innogy Renewables US in connection with the purchase of a portfolio of wind assets from EverPower.
- Utility company in connection with the purchase and sale of development assets relating to a 300 MW wind energy project.
- SunEdison in the financing via a joint venture with Dominion and development of the Three Cedars solar project, a 265 MW DC solar power project in Utah.
- Client handled the negotiation of a power purchase agreement and related design/build/transfer agreement for an expansion to a 100 MW wind project located in North Dakota.
- Renewable energy project development company in the acquisition of almost 4 GW of solar development pipeline.
- Investor in connection with the acquisition of three solar projects in Massachusetts.
