The future of UK financial services: ahead of the curve

The Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 lays the foundation for the UK’s future regulatory framework for financial services.

The aim of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 is to create an “open, green, and technologically advanced financial services sector that is globally competitive”. It sets out a vision for the future of financial services in the UK and paves the way for the repeal of hundreds of pieces of onshored EU financial services legislation and their replacement in UK regulators’ rules.

On this page you can find our discussions and materials on the various proposals, as experts from across our banking, regulatory, capital markets and litigation teams examine the proposals and developments, and outline what they mean for the market and our clients.
