Overview - The UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime
Our Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) Working Group has been closely following the development and implementation of the SMCR since the FCA and the PRA first published their proposals in July 2014. Since then, we have advised a significant number of banks and building societies in relation to their implementation of the SMCR, as well in relation to as a range of post-implementation issues.
We are also now advising a number of FCA-only authorised firms in relation to their implementation of the extension of the SMCR, and have launched a specialist online tool which is designed to assist firms in relation to their implementation of the SMCR.
Members of our SMCR Working Group sit on and participate in key industry working groups and bodies relating to the SMCR, and regularly publish articles and are quoted in the press on topical issues relating to the SMCR. A selection of our SMCR publications is available below.
