The cryptoasset regulatory landscape is rapidly evolving in the UK and EU, with major implications for cryptoasset issuers and service providers. In this webinar we provide an overview of the UK Treasury consultation on regulation of stable tokens, and the related proposal to extend the financial promotions (i.e. advertising) regime to cryptoassets.
We also consider the practical impact for cryptoasset players who intend to target, or otherwise carry out their activities in, the UK. The webinar also compares UK proposals to those set out in the European Commission’s draft Markets in Cryptoassets Regulation (MiCA).
