Market Horizons podcast: EU/UK Securitisation Regulations and restrictions on the use of third country SPVs

This episode of Allen & Overy’s Market Horizons podcast series focuses on the EU Securitisation Regulation and the UK Securitisation Regulation regimes, in particular, restrictions on the use of third country special purpose vehicles (SPVs).

Fabrice Faure-Dauphin (a partner in the banking and structured finance team in Paris) and Maria Green (a PSL Counsel in London) discuss divergence between EU and UK requirements, the significance of different “black lists” and “grey lists” and recent developments that affect securitisations involving SPVs established in certain jurisdictions (e.g. the Cayman Islands).
