European Commission proposes directive to protect whistleblowers – scandals necessitate reform

Whistleblowers have been making headlines almost every month this past year and this follows a string of scandals which have exposed the limited assistance available for people seeking to expose wrongful corporate behaviour in the public interest. In April 2018 the European Commission proposed a directive to further protect whistleblowers.
