Vestager: One year on

The European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager, has now been in office for one year. To mark the milestone, Allen & Overy antitrust partner Michael Reynolds reflects on where the Commissioner has taken EU competition policy and enforcement in the past year, and what we can expect in the next four.

Michael founded Allen & Overy’s Antitrust and Competition practice when he opened the firm’s Brussels office in 1979. Since becoming a partner in 1981, he has over 30 years’ experience in European antitrust law and was President of the International Bar Association for the term 2013-2014.
