Gareth Price, global head of Projects and Energy commented:

“This is a wonderful way to start the new decade and confirms our position at the forefront of our markets.  As we look out into the market, the fundamental drivers for our clients, and therefore our business, remain very strong.  Whether tackling sustainable development goals, addressing climate change as well as energy security, delivering new energy and infrastructure developments for developing economies or as part of a Keynesian kick-start for a stalling economy or accessing alternative investments that are not correlated to public markets, our clients turn to us to help them raise, deploy and defend their capital.  We are grateful to our clients for continuing to put their trust in us year after year and we are pleased to play a leading role in the infrastructure, natural resources and energy sectors.”

David Lee, global head of Infrastructure added:

"We are pleased with another great annual result from our global team. 2019 was the year climate change and the need to decarbonise our economies really reached the public consciousness. The past year has been marked by deals closed in a wide range of jurisdictions as our global infrastructure and renewables offering proves increasingly helpful to our clients. We are pleased to be in a position to play a leading role in the sectors and owe our continued success to our clients’ continued ability to seek out and deliver innovative transactions. We see no let up in our business in the foreseeable future despite (as ever) some political headwinds in a number of jurisdictions and look forward to supporting the global efforts of our clients."
