Allen & Overy, an international law firm with a 25-year presence in Italy, has announced the promotion of Pietro Bellone to partner in the finance department, effective from 1 May 2023. The announcement comes in the context of the firm’s appointment as partner globally of a total of 36 new partners in 13 of the firm’s offices.

Since joining Allen & Overy in 2014, Pietro has been advising financial institutions, private capital providers and corporate entities for over 15 years on a wide spectrum of structured finance matters, including direct lending and syndication of loans via securitisations SPVs, acquisition and financing of distressed exposures, capital relief securitisations (both cash and on-balance sheet), asset-backed transactions and covered bond programmes. In addition to assisting with the structuring of transactions, Pietro provides advice on complex EU and Italian regulations affecting the securitisation market.
