Lucia Raimanová promoted to partner in global litigation practice

Allen & Overy is pleased to announce the promotion of Lucia Raimanová to partner in its global litigation practice as of 1 May 2021.

Lucia leads the firm’s arbitration practice within Central and Eastern Europe, and is based in the Bratislava office, having previously worked over a decade in London and seconded to the firm’s Hong Kong and Moscow offices.

Lucia’s extensive experience in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration spans many jurisdictions and sectors, and includes disputes arising out of various bilateral investment treaties, the Energy Charter Treaty as well as commercial contracts. She also has experience of litigation before the English and Indian courts, and sits as arbitrator.

She also regularly advises clients on structuring investments, drafting investment agreements, aspects of sovereign immunity, privileges and immunities of international organisations and other aspects of public international law such as succession of States. Lucia currently serves on the Board of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre.

Allen & Overy has announced the promotion of 30 new partners across its global network, effective from 1 May 2021. The new partners represent 16 of the firm’s international offices, with 66% of the newly promoted partners based outside of London. One third of the 30 new partners are women. 

The new partners cover six of A&O’s main practice areas, with 11 in Banking, eight in Corporate, five in Litigation, four in International Capital Markets and one each in Real Estate and Tax.

It is great to see Lucia being promoted to the Allen & Overy partnership and being the first ever female partner in our Bratislava office.
