Lucia leads the firm’s arbitration practice within Central and Eastern Europe, and is based in the Bratislava office, having previously worked over a decade in London and seconded to the firm’s Hong Kong and Moscow offices.

Lucia currently serves on the Board of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre.

Martin Magál, managing partner of A&O’s office in Bratislava, comments: “It is great to see Lucia being promoted to the Allen & Overy partnership and being the first ever female partner in our Bratislava office. Lucia is an outstanding arbitration lawyer and her promotion to partner will be very important as we continue to develop our arbitration team in the CEE region.”

Allen & Overy has announced the promotion of 30 new partners across its global network, effective from 1 May 2021. The new partners represent 16 of the firm’s international offices, with 66% of the newly promoted partners based outside of London. One third of the 30 new partners are women.

The new partners cover six of A&O’s main practice areas, with 11 in Banking, eight in Corporate, five in Litigation, four in International Capital Markets and one each in Real Estate and Tax.

It is great to see Lucia being promoted to the Allen & Overy partnership and being the first ever female partner in our Bratislava office.
