Luca Maffia has been promoted to counsel within the Banking practice of Allen & Overy, an international law firm with a 25-year presence in Italy.
Stefano Sennhauser, senior partner of Allen & Overy Italy, commented: “It is an essential part of our strategy to invest in internal growth within the firm; we need professionals like Luca to shape our future”.
Luca joined Allen & Overy in 2011 as a trainee, and advises domestic and international corporates, financial institutions and investment funds on the negotiation, structuring and documentation of financing transactions as well as on regulatory issues connected to the banking and finance sectors. Luca has developed significant expertise in leverage and acquisition finance transactions, private placement and bond issues, both on the borrowers' and the lenders' side.
