Allen & Overy today announced that Jennifer L. Wnek joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s global Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice.
Jennifer joined Allen & Overy from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, making her the seventh partner addition to A&O’s Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure team in the U.S. In her role as partner, she will continue to counsel clients leveraging her deep expertise in the energy sector on engagements including acquisitions, dispositions, financing and joint venture transactions.
“Jennifer is an exceptional advisor with an understanding of both the renewables sector and more traditional projects. We look forward to her leadership in this practice, especially as we approach an increasingly dynamic regulatory space,” commented Kent Rowey, partner in the global Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice.
Jennifer will provide clients with an even broader resource within the renewable energy space. The firm continues to invest in our talent in order to seize attractive market opportunities.

Wnek’s expertise is a testament to the firm’s development of this market-leading practice and its outlook for a maturing projects and energy sector in the United States. “The U.S. renewables sector is expanding beyond conventional practices; A&O’s well-rounded and leading practice is fully embedded with the expertise to deliver counsel on financings for the most innovative energy projects,” said Wnek.
