High yield sweeps the board at the IFLR Awards 2022 Europe

It was a big night for high yield with three wins including Team of the Year, Deal of the Year and Rising Star.

The annual ceremony, which took place on 5 May in London, recognises legal innovation by firms, teams and individuals working on cross-border transactions.

The full list of awards won by A&O is:

• Team of the Year: High Yield
• Deal of the Year: High Yield – Modulaire’s bond issuance
• Deal of the Year: Loans – Ethypharm‘s refinancing
• Rising Star: Angela Ryu – High Yield
• Firm of the Year: Poland

Commenting on the award wins from London, high yield head Kevin Muzilla said: “This is a fantastic achievement for A&O. We are particularly thrilled to have won three high yield awards which recognises the commitment and excellence of our team across Europe.” 

Leveraged finance partner Neil Sinha added: “This is a great outcome for our sponsor side practice as we acted for the sponsor on both the Loan and High Yield Deal of the Year wins.”
