02 March 2017
Allen & Overy announces the joining of Nick Bradbury as a partner in its financial services regulatory practice (non-contentious) in London. Nick brings over a decade’s experience from his time at Herbert Smith Freehills and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Nick will join London regulatory partners Damian Carolan, Etay Katz and Kate Sumpter.
Nick's particular focus is on the wholesale financial markets and financial market infrastructure (securities and derivatives trading venues, custodians and clearing houses), advising global investment banks and other major financial institutions on regulatory matters. He has advised major banks on the full range of regulatory change the financial industry is facing, including recovery and resolution planning, bank structural reform, derivatives trading and clearing, MiFID II, the Senior Managers Regime and Brexit. He also has extensive experience of advising on the regulatory aspects of corporate transactions in the financial institutions sector.
Damian Carolan, head of London financial services regulation at A&O, commented: “Building on our regulatory practice is key to maintaining our ability to provide top quality cross-border advice and expertise to our financial institution clients, particularly in light of the raft of regulation that has dominated the industry since the global financial crisis. Nick’s skills and experience will add valuable further depth to our existing team."
Philip Bowden, co-head of global Banking added: “Growing our financial services regulation practice is a priority for A&O. Due to the overwhelming client demand we are experiencing, our aim is to augment our market renowned London team even further so we can continue providing a level of service of the highest degree.”
