Auto-enrolment and re-enrolment deconstructed

For many employers, auto-enrolment is now part of business as usual, and the staging date may be a relatively distant memory. For those employers, re-enrolment is likely to be on the horizon, and it’s important to be aware of the differences between auto-enrolment and re-enrolment processes.

In addition, the auto-enrolment regime has not stood still over the past three years – for example, it’s no longer mandatory for some categories of worker to be auto-enrolled or re-enrolled. Employers may wish to take the opportunity to review their systems and do some things differently, second time around.
