Allen & Overy is advising ERM, the world’s largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, and its majority shareholders, OMERS Private Equity and Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), on the sale of ERM to KKR, a leading global investment firm.  

The transaction, which will see KKR acquire a majority position in ERM, with ERM’s Partners and management remaining as minority investors, is expected to close in Q3 2021 subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approvals. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
