The USD2.7 billion inter-conditional restructuring of Premier Oil plc and its all share merger with Chrysaor Holdings Limited completed on 31 March 2021 and is expected to create the largest independent oil and gas company listed on the London Stock Exchange.

As previously announced A&O advised the coordinating group of bank creditors.

The A&O team was led by restructuring partner Nick Lister and corporate partners Stephen Mathews and James Roe. The wider A&O team included Hugh Hobhouse, Adam Fadian, Matthew Kimber, Sophie Waples, Lara Panahy, Lindi Wang and Lewis Weaver.

An A&O team led by derivatives partner David Benton and senior associate Paul Allan advised a number of the hedge counterparties on the restructuring.
