Allen & Overy’s U.S. CLO practice receives continued recognition as a leader in the U.S. CLO market

Allen & Overy has once again been recognized for its accomplishments as a leading advisor in the U.S. CLO market, according to data published by Asset-Backed Alert and Creditflux.

Allen & Overy’s U.S. CLO practice, led by New York partners Lawrence Berkovich and Nicholas Robinson, ranked 3rd as Underwriter Counsel and 6th as Issuer Counsel for U.S. CLOs in Asset-Backed Alert’s 2020 league tables, and 3rd in Arranger Counsel and 8th in Manager Counsel in Creditflux’s 2020 US CLO Counsel league tables. The practice served as arranger counsel for 36 deals totaling over $12.49 billion and manager counsel for 13 deals totaling over $4.4 billion.

U.S. Securitization partner Lawrence Berkovich commented: “This year, we further solidified our standing as a leading counsel in the U.S. CLO market, having increased our market share of underwriter representation despite a global pandemic.   This is a testament to our team’s hard work, expertise, creativity and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing world to provide bespoke, client-focused solutions.”

U.S. Securitization partner Nicholas Robinson added: “In addition to advising clients on new issuances, resets and refinancings in the broadly syndicated and middle market CLO space, we are also very active in bespoke term portfolio accumulation facilities. There continues to be a new and exciting pipeline of deals in the CLO market and we are looking forward to building on our continued growth and success in 2021.”
