Series of webinars provides inhouse legal counsel in the Middle East with an understanding of the key legal and practical issues that are relevant in the GCC.
From May 23 - 27, Allen & Overy will host its virtual Middle East Academy. Provided by A&O lawyers in the Middle East, the Academy will offer mid-level inhouse counsel an understanding of the key legal and practical issues that are relevant in the GCC.
The region regularly hosts in-person client Academies, in both our Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices, but given the current situation with COVID-19 we are pivoting to a remote platform this year which is allowing us to bring together lawyers and clients from across the region to collaborate together, wherever they reside. We anticipate welcoming 100 attendees from leading international organisations.
Sessions will be led by Allen & Overy lawyers and will cover a wide range of topics including M&A, project finance in the Middle East, financial services regulation, capital markets, real estate, IP and data protection, international joint ventures and dispute resolution.
Given that the Academy is virtual this year, we will be hosting virtual coffee meetings and inviting attendees to our Middle East Academy Alumni Event in the near future when restrictions permit.
