Allen & Overy’s solicitor apprenticeship programme launches

A&O has joined with other leading law firms to make a public commitment to recognise legal apprenticeships as an equal pathway into a legal career.

The pledge highlights the firms’ ongoing commitment to apprenticeships and sees firms commit to a range of recruitment and development principles that will ensure that solicitor apprentices are treated in an equivalent manner to those pursuing more traditional routes, such as training contracts.

Early Careers Recruitment Partner and Training Principal, James Partridge, commented: “We believe that solicitor apprenticeships are a valued and equal route into the profession and should be treated as such. This pledge marks another significant step in the journey to widening access to the legal profession and we’re pleased to join a range of other law firms in making this commitment.”

Applications are now open for A&O’s solicitor apprenticeship programme.
