Allen & Overy announces new leadership for India Group

Allen & Overy has announced that Singapore-based partners Sheila Ahuja and Pallavi Gopinath Aney will jointly chair the India Group, which is made up of over 100 partners and associates globally. 

Sheila leads the India arbitration practice and also has extensive experience in other jurisdictions, including Singapore, Hong Kong, England and Wales and Southeast Asia. Pallavi leads the India capital markets practice and has several years’ experience advising clients on a wide range of debt, equity and liability management transactions in India and Southeast Asia.

Described as the “undisputed leader” for complex, high-value transactions with an Indian element, the India Group was named “India Practice of the Year” at the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2021, retained its position as a Tier 1 Foreign Firm in India by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2021 and was awarded three Deal of the Year awards by India Business Law Journal.
