Allen & Overy hosted our Inaugural Canadian Banks Workshop in Toronto, Ontario on January 30, which brought together legal and business teams from RBC, Scotiabank, BMO and T.D. Bank, for a one-day seminar on how to handle a shifting regulatory and legal landscape.

The workshop included Allen & Overy teams from across the U.S. and London, and our new A&O Consulting division, for five interactive sessions on key themes, such as:

  • Preparing for the transition away from IBORs
  • Evolving expectations about the resolvability of banks
  • Impact of Brexit on the financial services sector
  • Anti-corruption and sanctions: compliance, and culture in the new decade
  • The evolution of Legal Services delivery, and what you should be able to expect from your law firm

Following the positive feedback from the event, we will be hosting this workshop in Toronto on an annual basis.
