Allen & Overy bolsters Projects and Public Law in Italy with two counsel

Allen & Overy today announces the bolstering of its project finance and public law expertise in Italy with two counsels: Luca Amicarelli and Nunzio Bicchieri.
Luca has been nominated to lead Allen & Overy’s Administrative Law team in Italy which comprises a further three legal professionals and is part of the global Public Law practice. He has extensive experience assisting Italian and multinational companies across all areas of administrative and public law, both contentious and non-contentious, with a particular focus on environmental law, energy, infrastructure, real estate, public procurement and competitive tendering as well as life sciences.
Nunzio will lead our Project Finance practice in Italy and will be part of our global Projects Group which comprises some 250 lawyers. He is a specialist in the areas of projects, energy and infrastructure and real estate and has almost 20 years’ experience advising international sponsors, financial institutions and industrial companies (both domestic and international) as well public entities on Italy’s largest project financing and project bond transactions.

Both Luca and Nunzio rejoin Allen & Overy. Luca previously worked at Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners, joining in 2009. He began his career in Studio Legale della Vedova in 2007 and was a trainee at Allen & Overy in 2008-2009. Nunzio was previously at Simmons & Simmons where he was responsible for the firm’s Energy, Natural, Resources and Infrastructure Projects department in Italy. Previously, he worked with Watson, Farley & Williams and Ashurst and in 2002-2005 was a senior associate in A&O’s Italian Project Finance team.
