At the AFM, he monitored the implementation of (new) regulations in the financial sector, such as the Market Abuse Regulation and Prospectus Directive.
Brechje van der Velden, Senior Partner at Allen & Overy Amsterdam: “We are delighted that Joost is re-joining the firm. Regulatory changes impact the entire financial sector, from banks and asset managers to insurers. The Financial Regulatory practice is noted for its outstanding integral team that helps clients navigate through the increasingly complex local and international regulatory landscape. Joost brings with him a wealth of experience that he gained during his time at ABN AMRO and AFM.”
