Anna Jondelius

Senior IT Business Relationship Manager

What was your dream job as a child?

F1 driver. I had go-carting as an after school activity at around age 11-13 and my friend and I regularly beat the boys around the track, but needless to say finances put a stop to taking this any further. I am still waiting for women to get an equal chance to compete in F1.

How did you start your career working in IT?

I was working as a PA in a small law firm where there was a centralised Service Desk over in the US. As I found it easy to learn how to resolve issues I became the ‘go to’ person in the office for IT questions. As the firm grew I gradually moved all my time to working with IT support and training until I eventually supported two offices in different countries full time.

What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

When everyone comes together and we are able to provide a solution, large or small, that really makes a difference to our lawyers or support staff.

What advice would you offer women interested in a career in IT?

Go for it! We need lots of different people with various backgrounds and experience working together in IT, that’s when we get the best outcome.

What do you do to wind down at weekends?

My favourite way to wind down after work on Fridays is to escape for a quiet swim in a local lake.
