In 2015, Allen & Overy opened a Seoul office, building on more than 30 years' experience dedicated to helping Korean companies, quasi-sovereigns and financial institutions to navigate the international legal and regulatory framework as they do business abroad. Having an established presence on the ground enables us to bring the full weight of our international network combined with out deep sector expertise and product knowledge to bear for Korean corporations and financial institutions or investors looking to invest in Korea. It also enables Allen & Overy to provide Korean language support on the ground to our clients, not just in projects, capital markets and M&A but also in areas such as arbitration and IP.

Working environment
A&O Seoul office is located in IFC complex in Yeouido Island, Seoul’s main finance and investment banking district, the so-called “Wall Street of Seoul”. Right next to the office is Yeouido Park where the famous Cherry Blossom Festival is held every spring , and in early autumn the island hosts the Seoul International Fireworks Festival where thousands of people enjoy the annual evening of spectacular fireworks. It is a great place where the city and nature breathe as one.
