In addition to the major restructurings that took place after the 2008/2009 financial crisis, we are seeing significant changes in the Luxembourg private banking sector, following discussions over Luxembourg banking secrecy and an increase in bank mergers and spin offs.

In Luxembourg, we advise on both litigious and non-litigious issues in relation to intellectual property (trademarks, patents, copyrights, know-how, trade secrets, database rights), telecom, media, internet and data protection law. On IT issues, we offer technical support as well as legal expertise, drawing on our deep knowledge of IT security, IT outsourcing, domain names, e-commerce and software issues.

Acting as counsel to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in the US, Europe and Southeast Asia, we are ideally placed to advise our clients on derivate trades involving sophisticated set-off and netting mechanisms and complex collateral arrangements.

Henri Wagner and Frank Mausen head our market-leading Luxembourg ICM team of multinational lawyers with a broad experience of a wide range of ICM products, covering areas such as debt capital markets, securitisation, derivatives and structured finance.

Key players in the banking and corporate sectors rely on us for advice on listings of debt and equity securities on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
