Document and design
The Document and Design teams utilise their technical expertise, technology solutions and talent to offer innovative solutions for our A&O teams globally, across practice groups and support functions, offering a global 24/7 service.
The Document Production teams deliver expert level technical assistance across all Microsoft office packages; including document comparisons, formatting, conversions, dictation, transcription and document health checks. The service produces high quality outputs, everything from legal documents to brochures for our internal clients.
The Document Checking teams are specialists in language style and proofreading on a wide range of document types. With an eye for detail, they support the firm by checking document production work, proofreading, document comparisons and checking printers’ proofs, defined terms and cross references.
The Design teams are specialists in creativity, supporting our practice groups and support functions to produce visually appealing, high quality and innovative design across media. Working on applications such as PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and the Creative Adobe suite, the team assist the firm from concept and storyboarding through to design and production to deliver market leading solutions for print, digital, video and presentations.

The team encompasses all aspects of the information profession – producing bespoke research pieces, delivering authoritative training, responding to legal and business queries and managing the extensive hard copy needs of our lawyers.
Information services are integral to the firm's knowledge strategy. We look for innovative, resourceful individuals, committed to the provision and exchange of knowledge and information. The work is rewarding and there are excellent career development opportunities.
Marketing and Business Development
Through the delivery of marketing, business development and communications, the global Marketing function helps to achieve A&O’s business objectives, nurture client relationships, win new clients and strengthen our market reputation. In doing this, we maintain and improve A&O’s position as a leading law firm on the international stage.
The Marketing department in Belfast comprises a team of professionals working across Business Development, Client Relationship Management and Digital & Marketing Technology.
The Business Development (BD) team supports the partners in our global practice groups, winning business from new or existing clients by producing pitches, organising client networking events and preparing submissions to legal directories.
The Client Relationship Management (CRM) team proactively manages our key client relationships, which is fundamental to maintaining and developing our global business in an increasingly competitive market.
The Digital & Marketing Technology team implement and manage the firm’s integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels.
