Ciara Seymour

I joined the In-House Legal team in early 2020 coming from an international law firm where I was a Legal Director advising clients on major infrastructure projects across a range of sectors including ICT, health, education and accommodation.

I chose to come to Allen & Overy, and in particular the In-House Legal team, as for me it was an unique opportunity to continue to work on innovative global projects but in an in-house setting.

Within In-House Legal, my focus is on contracts & technology and role itself is varied and rewarding.  My day to day involves advising on the legal and regulatory implications of complex technology matters such as the firm's legal tech and innovation investments and strategies.  I lead key projects many of which are aimed at harnessing the opportunities presented by technology and data analytics to solve complex problems.   

The team itself is high performing and I believe that this is in no small way due to the supportive and friendly environment in which we work. Within our team, there is a wealth of opportunity for career progression and we are committed to ensuring that high performance is recognised and rewarded at all levels.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoy the fact that every day brings a new challenge and in responding to those challenges I get to contribute to the innovativeness and success of the firm.
