Across all areas, we seek to achieve the highest level of service and support for our internal customers and our clients. Business Services includes document production, print room, reception and front of house, mail room, catering, property projects, procurement and stationery, and security/health & safety.

Our Know-how team works closely with our lawyers to equip them with the resources and skills to respond effectively and efficiently to client needs, both on- and off-deal. Paralegals

Paralegals

As a paralegal at Allen & Overy, youll play an instrumental role in the mechanics of the legal process and form an important part of the team alongside our partners, lawyers and graduates. Your main focus will be to deliver a first class service to them as your internal clients, and thereby gain a valuable insight into the workings of a large legal practice.

 

The majority of our paralegals have been our summer clerks. However, where business needs require, we also seek to recruit lateral paralegals. Paralegals are usually completing their Law degree (ideally in 3rd or 4th year) and they are employed on a casual basis generally from 1 to 3 days per week during university semester. No formal paralegal qualifications are necessary but you should be able to demonstrate strong academic results, good attention to detail, enthusiasm and self-motivation.

Working environment

Our Sydney office occupies 4,500 square metres over three levels with views over Hyde Park and Sydney Harbour and is a contemporary landmark tower. Our state-of-the-art building is registered for Greenstar Design Rating and a targeted 5 star NABERS Energy rating.

The building has immediate access to world class dining, five star hotels, Hyde Park, Martin Place and the financial core of the CBD.

Our Perth office is located in both the heart of the CBD and a stone's throw from the banks of the beautiful Swan River. It is within a short walk of all of the city's major public transport hubs as well as within close proximity to the Hay and Murray Street Malls and a great range of upmarket bars and restaurants. 

The building offers excellent natural light throughout, a floor dedicated to an expansive conference and functions centre, on-site car washing and detailing, as well as lockers, free bike storage and shower facilities and access to a gym.
