In a move aimed at driving growth and delivering competitive markets that work for consumers, the UK government has published two consultations on proposals for reform of the UK competition and consumer rules.

The first consultation – Reforming Competition and Consumer Policy – proposes general changes designed to ensure that the UK competition and consumer regimes are “best-in-class”. The other focuses on the digital sector, and maps out the government’s plans for a “new pro-competition regime for digital markets”.
