Smart Start Experience application process
All applicants need to attend one Smart Choices virtual event before they can apply for the Smart Start Experience week or Smart Applications.
Applicants are able to apply to an individual or both programmes through the same application process. Successful applicants will only take part in either the Smart Start Experience week or Smart Applications (you cannot attend both). The first step in applying to either of these programmes is to attend a Smart Choices Information session.
These events will provide support and information on the next stages of the application and guidance on which scheme suits your needs. After attending a Smart Choices event, the application form will be made available to all participants.
Smart Choices online events
Smart Choices online events are designed to provide young people the opportunities to identify, secure, and analyse both professional and academic experiences. Successful applicants will participate in interactive online activities which will help them to assess the benefits of the different opportunities, learn how to demonstrate commercial awareness in interviews, and leave with an action plan.
In order for applications to be considered for the Smart Start Experience week or Smart Applications applicants must attend a Smart Choices event to secure a place on either programme. These online events will provide support and information about each opportunity and how to apply.
Applications for Smart Start 2022 are closed.
