Tim Sweerts

Senior Associate

Tim is specialized in complex dispute resolution and risk mitigation. His focus is high stakes litigation, including class actions, corporate disputes and ESG risk mitigation.

He represents in court various national and international corporations and financial institutions in high stakes disputes. He regularly advises on sensitive pre-litigation and risk mitigation as well. He is also experienced in arbitration proceedings.

Tim regularly speaks and publishes on class actions and impact litigation in and outside of the Netherlands.

Tim graduated with honors and cum laude from the University of Utrecht in Civil law and Company law. He attended the National University of Singapore and is an INSEAD alumnus (MAPB’21).

An energy company in a class action on pricing for high-usage clients.
 
A financial institution in collective FX antitrust litigation.
 
An international electronics company in a follow-on class action regarding televisions.
