Tamara is a counsel in the Financial Services Regulatory group. She specialises in regulatory issues in the financial services industry, advising firms on UK and EU regulatory requirements and drafting and negotiating UK and international agreements. She is an active contributor to industry issues, publishing an independent report in 2011 for a UK industry body on the Retail Distribution Review (RDR), and writing a 2013 white paper for the Investment Association on outsourcing and the “too big to fail” problem. She does extensive work with the Investment Association, AIMA and the Depositary and Trustee Association (DATA), and regularly conducts training sessions and industry seminars on key topics in both the asset/fund management and depositary sectors.
Tamara sits on a number of industry working groups, including groups on ESG, MiFID II, Brexit, product governance, and costs/charges. She is a member of a joint Investment Association and DATA working group on restructuring the way UK fund managers deal with subscription and redemption proceeds. She is also a member of the EU Regulation Standing Committee (formed by the IRSG for the City of London and CityUK), as well as its Global Regulatory Coherence Committee.
Tamara began her career at a regulator, working for the general counsel of the financial services regulator in Australia.
