Senior Associate

Sorsha is a senior associate in Allen & Overy’s tax group. Her experience includes advising on the UK tax aspects of a broad range of corporate, financing and real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, equity and debt capital market transactions and other structured financing transactions. Sorsha has experience working extensively with clients on all stages of their deal, from initial structuring advice and planning, through to documentation, negotiation and implementation. Sorsha works with all major international clients, with a particular focus on private capital, and assist her clients on projects spanning many of the major sectors including financial services, investment, real estate, infrastructure and technology.

Representative matters

A UK financial institution on its strategic partnership with Schroders in the wealth, investment and financial planning sector. The parties will enter into an alliance to create a market-leading wealth management proposition which will combine the financial institution’s significant client base, multi-channel distribution and digital capabilities with Schroders’ investment and wealth management expertise and technology capabilities.

A large UK bank on its acquisition of a tech-enabled wealth management platform.

A Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund on the tax structuring and implementation of a major reorganisation of its holding of UK real estate assets.

Westbrook on a number of different corporate, real estate and financing matters and structuring advisory work, including an up to £79m facility in respect of the development of Arthur Stanley House, London and its subsequent refinancing and the c. £850m corporate sale of Dolphin Square, London.
