Iona advises on a broad range of structured finance structures across a variety of asset classes, including commercial real estate, whole business, receivables and residential mortgage loans in the UK and across Europe. 
She regularly acts for financial institutions, funds, private equity firms, servicers and corporates. In particular, Iona specialises in the origination and work out of commercial real estate transactions, including CMBS and whole business securitisations. She is also highly experienced in advising on auto finance, RMBS and portfolio acquisition transactions.

Experience

Representative matters

A global financial institution as arranger, on a EUR210m commercial mortgage backed securitisation under their Taurus programme, secured by a portfolio of Finnish assets owned by Blackstone.

Oodle as seller and originator, on its GBP336m debut public issuance and subsequent GBP240m public issuance backed by a portfolio of auto hire purchase agreements.

A global financial institution on its acquisition in 2018 of a circa EUR5bn portfolio of residential mortgage loans from Bank of Scotland and financings by way of multiple public securitisation and warehouse financings, including the Roundstone Securities No 1 DAC RMBS, Dublin Bay Securities 2018 DAC RMBS and Dublin Bay Securities 2018-MA1 DAC RMBS (an innovative “match adjusted” securitisation designed for insurance company investors).

A global financial institution, as arranger, on a EUR708m commercial mortgage backed securitisation, secured by a portfolio of German assets owned by Blackstone.
