Senior Associate

Eliana is a senior associate in the Brussels’ EU and competition law practice.

She has a highly diverse practice advising on the full range of EU and Belgian competition law issues across numerous sectors, including TMT, energy and industrial and manufacturing.

She has particular experience in advising a wide variety of clients on merger control notifications to the European Commission, the Belgian Competition Authority and other regulators. She is noted for her experience in advising on complex merger control reviews, including Phase II investigations before the EU Commission. She also regularly advises clients on other regulatory approvals for M&A transactions, including foreign subsidies and foreign investment review.

Furthermore, Eliana assists clients with cartel investigations and has an active advisory practice which covers areas such as abuse of dominance, cooperation and distribution agreements, State aid and EU law. She regularly also conducts compliance audits and provides training and guidance on antitrust compliance. She has been involved in multiple judicial proceedings before the EU General Court.

Eliana's extensive experience in representing clients in proceedings before the Belgian Competition Authority has given her a valuable perspective on its processes and ways of working. She is the author of an annual publication on the decisional practice of the Belgian Competition Authority.
