Cees has broad experience in project and real estate finance across Europe with a focus on the energy transition in the Dutch market.
He has worked with a variety of sponsors, borrowers, lenders, multilateral development banks and export credit agencies on finance and M&A transactions. As part of the Advanced Delivery & Solutions team and Global AI Brains Trust, he furthermore spearheads the safe deployment and adoption of generative AI in the Amsterdam office and through advising on client solutions.

The Commercial Lenders, EIB and ECA’s on 2022 amendment of the EUR2bn+ project financing of the Gemini offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. This transaction involved the amendment to a senior multi-tranche staple financing package provided by 25+ institutions globally.

Sunrock on the EUR225m portfolio financing of its rooftop solar projects in the Netherlands. The innovative portfolio structure enables Sunrock to grow its business effectively and efficiently.

DIF Capital Partners on its sale a portfolio of European PPP assets to Equitix.

The Sponsor on the EUR37m venture debt financing provided by EIB for the development of a protein facility in Poland.

Pro bono

Advising Circle Economy and the Kopgroep Circulair Financieren on the development financing solutions for the circular economy.
