Alexandra is a partner in the Global PENRI Group and is based in Allen & Overy's Johannesburg office. Alexandra advises both domestic and multinational clients on the development and financing of projects in the energy, infrastructure and oil & gas sectors in South Africa and wider Sub-Saharan Africa focusing on equity and debt funding structures (including limited recourse, portfolio and project financing) as well as private equity and secondary market activities.
She has been advising clients in the energy sector (renewable in particular) for the past 12 years.
Prior to joining Allen & Overy, she spent 12 years with a top tier South African firm as well as having worked for a global law firm in their London, Berlin, Bangkok and Singapore offices. Her expertise extends development and finance of projects across all sectors, including energy transition. Alexandra is currently advising numerous IPP's and financiers in the captive power sector. She has been recognised by various international research organisations including Chambers Global, Legal500, Best Lawyers and IFLR1000. Most recently, the Who's Who Legal: Energy 2023 report lists Alexandra as one of the market leading energy lawyers in South Africa.
