Over the last three months, the EU has imposed unprecedented sanctions against Russia and Belarus in response to the war in Ukraine (see our dedicated collection here).
While adopting further sanctions is getting ever more complicated due to political gridlock, the European Commission issued a number of legislative proposals last week, shifting its focus to the enforcement of EU sanctions - not only against Russia, but in relation to any restrictive measures imposed by the EU against regimes, territories, persons and entities across the globe.
