To Allen & Overy’s clients, colleagues and communities,
As most of you have seen in recent news, there continues to be a surge in acts of violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). A&O condemns these appalling attacks and all acts of Anti-Asian violence and racism and stands with our AAPI clients, colleagues and their families.
We raise the issue to all of you because it is important to call out acts of hatred and violence against the Asian community and other communities as unacceptable. There is no place for racism, prejudice, or hate in our firm or our society, whether based on race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
At A&O, we are committed to a culture that celebrates diversity, promotes inclusion and belonging, and embraces our commonalities and differences as humans. We stand with all our employees, their families, and our communities impacted by acts of violence and racism.
A&O is a place where we remain stronger together, hopeful for our future, and confident in our values. Join us in encouraging one another through this difficult time and demonstrating support of our fellow AAPI colleagues, clients and their families.
We remain available to any one of you if we can be helpful.
Thank you,
