Allen & Overy partner Sapna Palla recognized as 2021 Diversity and Inclusion Champion by New York City Bar Association

According to the NYCBA, the award recipients embody the City Bar’s Statement of Diversity Principles, which defines diversity as an inclusive concept, encompassing race, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, nationality, age, disability, and marital and parental status. The City Bar has recognized diversity and inclusion champions since the award was created in 2006.

Sapna joined Allen & Overy in July 2021. She is the Immediate Past President of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) and a member of its Board of Directors and the Co-Founder of the AABANY Leadership Development Institute. Sapna previously served as Co-chair of AABANY’s Women’s Committee. Sapna is Co-Chair of the Patent Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association. She is an inaugural member of Judge Janet Bond Arterton’s Intellectual Property American Inns of Court and is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Association and its Litigation and Legislative Action Committees. Sapna has been honored by City and State NY as “one of the most influential Asian Americans in New York politics and policy” in 2020.
