Lawyers in 20 of Allen & Overy’s offices across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the U.S. have been promoted to counsel, effective 1 May 2022.
The promotions span all six of A&O’s main practices of Banking, Corporate, International Capital Markets, Litigation, Real Estate and Tax. Of the 57 promotions, 32 of the new counsel are women.
Gareth Price, global managing partner, comments: “Investing in our talent is key to our future success. It’s great to see a diverse group of counsel promotions from many of the offices around our global network. I would like to extend my congratulations to our new counsel on this well-deserved achievement.”
A&O is also pleased to share that Shanghai Lang Yue Law Firm, the firm’s joint operation partner in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, has promoted Jiaming Zhang to counsel.
Promotions in our U.S. offices will be announced once the U.S. counsel promotion process has been completed.
